Dermal Fillers

There are many different types of dermal fillers and many varied brands. At Lift, we only use the top brands – Juvederm and Princess – which have undergone many years of testing and research. Most types of dermal filler are composed of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid naturally exists within the skin and absorbs water, giving volume, shape, hydration, and elasticity. It has minimal risk of reactions and is more readily accepted by the body than other silicone or collagen fillers.

As with all of our procedures, a prior consultation with Klaudia is required before any treatment can take place. Once you are educated on the procedure and happy to commit to the treatment, the dermal filler placement can begin. For certain dermal filler procedures, topical anaesthetic is first applied and left to numb the skin for 20 to 30 minutes. The dermal filler is then injected into the area required using a very fine needle. Results can be seen immediately after dermal filler treatments and generally last for between 6 and 12 months or longer.

Dermal fillers can be used to treat different areas of the face, including the lips, chin, jaw, cheeks, forehead, and nose, and are ideal for dealing with specific issues such as loss of volume, deep lines, tear troughs, and jowls. The different treatment types are explained in detail below. Please note that some methods are more appropriate for some people than others. This will be discussed with you before treatment to ensure complete client satisfaction on completion of the treatment.

Lip Fillers

Lip Border

If your lips are not as defined as they used to be, we can provide border line injections to enhance the definition and outline of your lips. This treatment is also ideal for anyone who is developing lip lines (also known as smokers’ lines or barcode lines). Lip lines develop as volume is lost in our lips and in the tissues around our lips. They can be frustrating, as they cause lipstick to bleed. More importantly, lip lines change the shape of the lips, ageing the entire face, and can even cause further creasing and loss of volume around the lips.

Lip Body

If you love the shapes of your lips and simply want to add volume, we can provide lip body enhancement. Lip body treatments can be used for either a subtle enhancement or a noticeable change. For those looking for a subtle enhancement, it will simply make your lips feel and look healthier and more hydrated. If, however, you want a noticeable change in volume, this can also be done with a lip body treatment. The placement of filler is positioned accurately and carefully to maintain the natural feel and movement of your lips. This technique ensures a beautiful, natural appearance of your new enhanced lips.

Philtrum Column

The philtrum columns are the raised vertical columns that extend from the peaks of the upper lip to the nose. Some people have well-defined, natural philtrum columns, while others have an entirely flat area above the lip with no column shape. If you would like to enhance the shape of your philtrum columns, this treatment is for you.

There are various reasons for having philtrum column filler treatments other than just creating the column contouring. Creating a philtrum column will add curve and contouring to the area above the upper lip. As we age, the area above the upper lip flattens and lengthens, so this treatment is ideal to bring back the youthful, curvy, and well-supported upper lip area. If you feel the area above your upper lip is too long, this treatment can also help to create the youthful curves, structure, and support required to help make this area appear shorter and better supported. If you feel the border of your upper lip is too flat, and you would like to enhance the cupid bow appearance further, this treatment will help support the cupid bow enhancement and add further curvature of the upper lip.

Cupid Bow Lips

The cupid bow is the V-shape contour in the centre of the upper lip that forms the two peaks and bow-shaped upper lip. Cupid bow lip filler treatments can be used to enhance the cupid bow, creating more curvature and shape to the upper lip. This treatment will help contour a flat upper lip. This procedure is often twinned with the procedure for enhancing the philtrum column.

Lower Face Treatments

Lower face treatments are also important to consider if you want to improve your lips. The skin surrounding the lips are essential in providing strength and support for the lips. We can therefore enhance and improve lip structure, shape, position, and definition when the surrounding tissues are treated correctly, thereby enhancing and improving the final lip appearance as well as enhancing the lower half of the face.

Upper Face Fillers

Cheek Augmentation

Cheek augmentation using dermal fillers is an extremely successful procedure to augment the cheek bones, lift the skin, and reduce facial lines and sagging. The treatment can be used to create improved facial structures and support. For clients desiring high cheek bones or delineation of their face, this procedure creates attractive results.

Would you consider a mini-facelift? Cheek augmentation can be used to lift the skin, reducing the heaviness that grows around the mouth and cheeks. It is also a perfect way to reduce smile lines. The treatment can reduce a weary facial appearance and a dark or hollow appearance under the eye area.

Tear Trough Filler

The tear trough filler procedure is ideal for those with weary-looking eyes, dark circles, hollows, or deep grooves below your eyes. It also helps support the delicate skin below the eyes.

Nose Filler

Nose filler reshaping, also known as non-surgical rhinoplasty, is perfect for those who want to avoid nose surgery. The treatment can help to align the nose, improve a hump on the nose, or create a more defined ridge.

Temple Filler

Temple filler treatments are ideal for those with hollow temples on the sides of their heads. This treatment is not only useful to improve the hollows, but it also supports and lifts the skin from lower down.

Brow Filler

Brow filler treatments help lift the brows where they will have dropped down over the years. This procedure reinstates the shape of the bone beneath the brow, creating a better-supported eyebrow.

Forehead Filler

Forehead filler treatments can improve stubborn lines and creases or restore the curve back into the forehead. As we age, the forehead will flatten and lengthen, but this treatment helps to minimise those effects.

Lower Face Fillers

There are several changes that can occur in the skin around the mouth, causing different lines and creases to develop. Some of the lines are only evident during movement of the facial muscles, whereas others can be present when the face is motionless. The appearance of these lines can be reduced and improved with the use of lower face filler treatments, which also provide better support to lips.

Treatment options include lip lines filler, nasolabial smile lines filler, marionette lines filler, mental lines filler, and other smile lines filler treatments. Other treatments that provide better support for the lower face and lips are chin and jaw enhancements, helping to provide structure and support to the lower part of the face and to tighten saggy skin.

Nasolabial Smile Lines

Nasolabial smile lines extend from the corner of the nose almost to the corner of the mouth. The biggest deficiency that develops for some people is at the corner of the tip of the nose, which makes a shadow in these areas. For others, the nasolabial lines are most severe when smiling. However, when they become visible at rest, it is an appropriate time to start addressing them.

Marionette Lines

Marionette lines extend downwards from the corners of the mouth and can contribute to a downward smile, giving a saddened appearance. Marionette lines can also occasionally be so severe that the corners of the mouth get sore from saliva collecting there. Strengthening of the marionette lines with dermal fillers provides better shape and support of the lips and the lower face.

Mental Crease Filler

The mental crease filler treatment will address the horizontal line between the lower lip and the chin. This area is smooth and flat when we are young but can get deeper with age, gradually forming a crease. Dermal fillers can help to not only remove lines in this area but also provide the structure and support required for the lips and lower half of the face.

Chin Filler

Chin filler treatments are used to treat a variety of issues around the chin area. If you feel your chin is too pointy or even too pronounced, we can help to recontour the areas around the chin and create a chin that is more harmonious with the face and less obtrusive. If you feel your chin is set back and your profile could do with improving, we can bring your chin forward to create the ideal facial profile.

If your face is too round or your lower face is too short, we can create a longer, more youthful face for you. If you don’t like your chin dimples and creases, we can erase them with this procedure. If the skin texture over your chin is not as supple and smooth as it used to be, the chin filler treatments can also help to resolve these issues. If you have a double-chin effect or saggy skin around your jawline, chin augmentation along with jawline augmentation could help you.

Jawline Augmentation

Jawline augmentation is a great treatment that is used to not only define the jawline but to help pin back any loose, saggy skin. Jawline augmentation can help to change the contours of the jaw, changing the lower face shape. For women, it is great to create a more uplifting jaw and more defined jaws, reducing saggy skin. For men, jaw augmentation can be used to reduce saggy skin or, if required, to create a more masculine jaw.
